Our more recent Ts’aa7ukw Forestry Management, established in 2020, will manage the Nation’s Forestry Tenures, bringing more stability and stewardship to its traditional lands.
In respect for the Nation’s upcoming Integrated Resource Stewardship Plan (IRSP), DFL holds Timber Sale Licences in both Tree Farm Licences #44 & #46 and is actively salvaging downed cedar and logging using sustainable practices.
The Ditidaht Forest Limited is presently waiting on the Ministry of Forest Lands and Natural Resources for the release of TFL #44 unused timber. This undercut will equate to 177,000m3. Ts’aa7ukw has also entered into a marketing agreement with C’awak?qin Forestry for access to resources within Ditidaht Core Territory.
Ditidaht Forestry programs are a vital resource
in contributing to our Tourism infrastructure.
