Ditidaht First Nations Council has recived and accepted the resignation of elected Chief Councillor Judi Thomas, effective September 25, 2026.
In accordance with the Ditidaht First Nation Custom Election Code, and with approximately 15 months remaining in the current Council term, Council will not be calling a by-election.
Council has agreed to support Councillor Terry Edgar in serving as Acting Chief for the remainder of the current term. Council remains committed to ensuring continuity, stability, accountability, and the effective governance of the Nation during this transition.
